Spectators at Friday's league battle between the Northwest Cabarrus Trojans (Concord, NC) and the visiting Carson Cougars (China Grove, NC), saw Northwest Cabarrus's baseball squad edge Carson by a count of 5-4.

Coming up next, the Trojans play the Concord Spiders (Concord, NC) in a South Piedmont 3A battle, on Tuesday, March 29. Northwest Cabarrus will attempt to move on its 7-2 season record. The Spiders enter the battle with a 3-5 record after their 12-2 league loss to South Rowan (China Grove, NC).
