The El Capitan Gauchos (Merced, CA) baseball trounced the host Central Valley Hawks (Ceres, CA), 9-0 in Friday's league contest.

Coming up next, the Gauchos encounter the Merced Bears (Merced, CA) in a Central California Conference contest, on Wednesday, March 30. El Capitan will attempt to better on its 9-3 season record. The Bears come into the contest with a 4-8 record after their 7-4 league win over Patterson (Patterson, CA).
