The Hillcrest Christian Cougars baseball team (Jackson, MS), was overwhelmed 16-3 in Friday's league outing with the visiting Riverfield Academy Raiders (Rayville, LA)

The Raiders now hold a 2-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Tri-County Academy for a MAIS AAAA District 3 outing on Tuesday, April 5.

Next, the Cougars confront the Sylva Bay Academy Saints (Bay Springs, MS) in a non-league outing, on Monday, March 28. Hillcrest Christian will attempt to advance on its 2-12 season record. The Saints go into the outing with a 2-9 record after their 10-0 non-league loss to Perry Central (New Augusta, MS).
