In Friday's league challenge, the Placer Hillmen (Auburn, CA) baseball squad triumphed over the visiting Rio Linda Knights (Rio Linda, CA), by a final score of 9-1.

With the win, Placer upgrades its record to 6-3 on the season. The Hillmen host West Park (Roseville, CA) to battle the Panthers in a Foothill Valley League challenge on Tuesday, March 29. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 1-11. West Park lost 10-0 in their recent league challenge against Oakmont (Roseville, CA)

With the defeat, Rio Linda falls to 2-8 on the season. The Knights travel to Lincoln (Lincoln, CA) to battle the Fighting Zebras in a Foothill Valley League challenge on Monday, March 28.
