Surry Central Golden Eagles (Dobson, NC) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the host Wilkes Central Eagles (Wilkesboro, NC), 11-10 in a league test.

With the win, Surry Central upgrades its record to 7-2 on the season. The Golden Eagles travel to Shelby (Shelby, NC) to battle the Golden Lions in a non-league test on Saturday, March 26. The Golden Lions come into the test with a record of 4-5. Shelby won 4-3 in their recent league test against East Gaston (Mt. Holly, NC)

With the defeat, Wilkes Central falls to 0-9 on the season. The Eagles host East Surry (Pilot Mountain, NC) to battle the Cardinals in a Foothills 2A test on Tuesday, March 29.
