North Carolina High School Soccer - West Johnston knocks off Smithfield-Selma
March 25, 2022: Smithfield, NC 27577 West Johnston Wildcats (Benson, NC) fans were pleased Friday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the host Smithfield-Selma Spartans (Smithfield, NC), 8-1 in a league challenge.
Next, the Wildcats confront the C.B. Aycock Golden Falcons (Pikeville, NC) in a Quad County 3A challenge, on Tuesday, March 29. West Johnston will attempt to better on its 5-2 season record. The Golden Falcons enter the challenge with a 6-1 record after their 9-0 league win over South Johnston (Four Oaks, NC).
The Spartans now have a 3-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Southern Wayne for a Quad County 3A challenge on Tuesday, March 29. Smithfield-Selma will confront a Saints team coming off a 3-1 league win over South Johnston (Four Oaks, NC). The Saints record now stands at 2-3.
