The Porter Ridge Pirates softball team (Indian Trail, NC), was tipped 5-4 in Friday's league test with the host Cuthbertson Cavaliers (Waxhaw, NC)

Coming up next, the Cavaliers encounter the Weddington Warriors (Matthews, NC) in a Southern Carolina 4A test, on Tuesday, March 29. Cuthbertson will attempt to improve on its 3-7 season record. The Warriors enter the test with a 5-4 record after their 8-1 league loss to Piedmont (Monroe, NC).

The Pirates (6-4) will now prepare for their test against Marvin Ridge (Waxhaw, NC). The Mavericks enter the Southern Carolina 4A test with a 6-1 record. In their last test, Marvin Ridge tipped Sun Valley (Monroe, NC), 12-8, in a league test.
