Spectators at Friday's league match between the Saguaro Sabercats (Scottsdale, AZ) and the visiting Mesquite Wildcats (Gilbert, AZ), witnessed Saguaro's softball squad prevail over Mesquite by a count of 11-2.

The Sabercats now sport a 4-5 record. They play next when they travel to American Leadership Academy for a 4A Desert Sky match on Tuesday, March 29. Saguaro will face a Patriots squad coming off a 9-8 league win over Marcos de Niza (Tempe, AZ). The Patriots record now stands at 5-6.

With the loss, Mesquite moves to 2-11 on the season. The Wildcats host Seton Catholic (Chandler, AZ) to face the Sentinels in a 4A Desert Sky match on Tuesday, March 29. The Sentinels go into the match with a record of 6-4. Seton Catholic won 14-1 in their recent non-league match against Apache Junction (Apache Junction, AZ)
