West Virginia High School Baseball - Martinsburg defeats Smithsburg
March 25, 2024: Martinsburg, WV 25401 Martinsburg Bulldogs (Martinsburg, WV) fans exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Smithsburg Leopards (Smithsburg, MD), 10-4 in a non-league test.
With the win, Martinsburg upgrades its record to 6-0 on the season. The Bulldogs host Washington (Charles Town, WV) to battle the Patriots in a Eastern Panhandle test on Tuesday, March 26. The Patriots come into the test with a record of 3-2. Washington won 7-0 in their recent non-league test against Hampshire (Romney, WV)
With the defeat, Smithsburg falls to 0-1 on the season. The Leopards travel to Urbana (Ijamsville, MD) to battle the Hawks in a non-league test on Wednesday, March 27. The Hawks come into the test with a record of 2-0. Urbana won 13-6 in their recent non-league test against McDonogh (Owings Mills, MD)
