The Alexander Central Cougars baseball team scored 13 runs and limited the host Watauga Pioneers to 3 in the Cougars league victory on Monday.

The Cougars (8-1) will now prepare for their match against South Caldwell (Hudson, NC). The Spartans go into the non-league outing with a 6-0 record. In their last outing, South Caldwell prevailed over Freedom (Morganton, NC), 11-0, in a non-league outing.

Next, the Pioneers confront the Hibriten Panthers (Lenoir, NC) in a non-league outing, on Wednesday, March 27. Watauga will attempt to advance on its 1-3 season record. The Panthers go into the outing with a 6-2 record after their 9-0 non-league win over Ashe County (West Jefferson, NC).
