Meridian Mustangs (Falls Church, VA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host West Potomac Wolverines (Alexandria, VA), 8-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Mustangs now own a 1-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to South Lakes for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 26. Meridian will battle a Seahawks squad coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Battlefield (Haymarket, VA). The Seahawks record now stands at 2-3.

With the loss, West Potomac falls to 2-4 on the campaign. The Wolverines travel to Fairfax (Fairfax, VA) to face the Lions in a Patriot match on Tuesday, April 2. The Lions go into the match with a record of 1-3.
