Georgia High School Soccer - Westover toppled by Cairo
March 25, 2025: Albany, GA 31707 Cairo Syrupmakers (Cairo, GA) backers exited the stadium pleased Tuesday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the host Westover Patriots (Albany, GA), 8-1 in a league test.
With the triumph, Cairo advances its record to 4-6 on the campaign. The Syrupmakers host Peach County (Fort Valley, GA) to clash with the Trojans in a 3A Region 1 test on Friday, March 28. The Trojans come into the test with a record of 10-1. Peach County won 10-0 in their recent league test against Dougherty (Albany, GA)
The Patriots now have a 4-5 record. They take the field next when they host Bainbridge for a 3A Region 1 test on Thursday, March 27. Westover will clash with a Bearcats team coming off a 10-0 league win over Monroe (Albany, GA). The Bearcats record now stands at 8-3.
