March 25, 2025: Como, TX 75431 Como-Pickton Eagles (Como, TX) backers left the game pleased Tuesday as they saw their softball squad thwart the visiting Chisum Mustangs (Paris, TX), 15-3 in a non-league game.
With the triumph, Como-Pickton upgrades its record to 12-7 on the year. The Eagles travel to Hawkins (Hawkins, TX) to play the Hawks in a 2A Region III District 17 game on Tuesday, April 1. The Hawks enter the game with a record of 11-8. Hawkins won 6-5 in their recent league game against Cumby (Cumby, TX)
The Mustangs now own a 2-12 record. They play next when they host Lone Oak for a non-league game on Saturday, March 29. Chisum will play a Buffaloes squad coming off a 14-2 non-league win over Commerce (Commerce, TX). The Buffaloes record now stands at 14-8.
