The Summers County Bobcats baseball squad (Hinton, WV), was edged 4-3 in Wednesday's non-league contest with the host Webster County Highlanders (Upper Glade, WV)

The Highlanders (2-0) will now prepare for their battle against Wirt County (Elizabeth, WV). The Tigers enter the Little Kanawha battle with a 3-2 record. In their last battle, Wirt County held off Calhoun (Mt. Zion, WV), 9-6, in a league battle.

Next, the Bobcats face the Wyoming East Warriors (New Richmond, WV) in a Coalfield AA contest, on Friday, March 27. Summers County will attempt to move on its 0-4 season record. The Warriors come into the contest with a 1-1 record after their 1-0 non-league win over Woodrow Wilson (Beckley, WV).
