The Mendota Trojans softball squad scored 9 runs and restricted the host Marquette Crusaders to 4 in the Trojans non-league victory on Wednesday.

Next, the Trojans meet the Plano Reapers (Plano, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, March 26. Mendota will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record. The Reapers go into the challenge with a 3-2 record after their 5-4 non-league win over Aurora Central Catholic (Aurora, IL).

The Crusaders (2-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Princeville (Princeville, IL). The Princes go into the non-league challenge with a 3-3 record. In their last challenge, Princeville held off Monmouth-Roseville (Monmouth, IL), 10-7, in a non-league challenge.
