In Wednesday's non-league match, the host Marquette Crusaders softball team scored a tight 4-3 victory over the Somonauk Bobcats.

The Crusaders (10-3) will now prepare for their match against Dwight (Dwight, IL). The Trojans go into the Tri-County match with a 6-7 record. In their last match, Dwight was nipped by Marquette (Ottawa, IL), 11-3, in a league match.

In their next game, the Bobcats battle the Rochelle Hubs (Rochelle, IL) in a non-league match, on Friday, April 17. Somonauk will attempt to better on its 5-5 season record. The Hubs go into the match with a 1-8 record after their 8-7 non-league loss to Indian Creek (Shabbona, IL).
