Texas High School Softball - Brownfield holds off Littlefield
March 26, 2022: Littlefield, TX 79339 Brownfield Cubs (Brownfield, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Littlefield Wildcats (Littlefield, TX), 7-5 in a league challenge.
The Cubs now own a 16-5 record. They take the field next when they host Muleshoe for a 3A Region I District 3 challenge on Tuesday, March 29. Brownfield will face a Mules squad coming off a 15-1 league loss to Lamesa (Lamesa, TX). The Mules record now stands at 2-4.
With the loss, Littlefield falls to 0-5 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Dimmitt (Dimmitt, TX) to face the Bobcats in a 3A Region I District 3 challenge on Saturday, April 2. The Bobcats enter the challenge with a record of 0-5. Dimmitt lost 20-1 in their recent league challenge against Muleshoe (Muleshoe, TX)
