Dripping Springs Tigers (Dripping Springs, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Johnson Jaguars (Buda, TX), 9-4 in a league challenge.

The Tigers now own a 16-7 record. They take the field next when they host Canyon for a 5A Region IV District 26 challenge on Tuesday, March 29. Dripping Springs will battle a Cougars squad coming off a 7-3 non-league loss to Cornerstone Christian (San Antonio, TX). The Cougars record now stands at 6-3.

With the loss, Johnson falls to 8-5 on the campaign. The Jaguars host Veterans Memorial (San Antonio, TX) to battle the Patriots in a 5A Region IV District 26 challenge on Friday, April 1. The Patriots enter the challenge with a record of 5-13.
