South Mecklenburg Sabres (Charlotte, NC) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host Sun Valley Spartans (Monroe, NC), 10-4 in a non-league test.

With the win, South Mecklenburg upgrades its record to 11-1 on the season. The Sabres host Hopewell (Huntersville, NC) to battle the Titans in a non-league test on Saturday, March 30. The Titans come into the test with a record of 10-2. Hopewell won 15-1 in their recent league test against Chambers (Charlotte, NC)

With the defeat, Sun Valley falls to 2-8 on the season. The Spartans host Covenant Day (Matthews, NC) to battle the Lions in a non-league test on Monday, April 1. The Lions come into the test with a record of 7-6. Covenant Day won 13-3 in their recent league test against Providence Day (Charlotte, NC)
