Pope John Paul II (Royersford, PA) fans left the game pleased Wednesday as they observed their baseball squad achieve victory over the host Upper Merion Area Vikings (King of Prussia, PA), 15-7 in a league match.

With the triumph, Pope John Paul II advances its record to 1-0 on the season. The host Pottstown (Pottstown, PA) to battle the Trojans in a Pioneer match on Thursday, March 27. The Trojans come into the match with a record of 0-0.

The Vikings now have a 1-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Norristown for a Pioneer match on Friday, March 28. Upper Merion Area will battle a Eagles squad coming off a 8-1 league loss to Upper Perkiomen (Pennsburg, PA). The Eagles record now stands at 2-2.
