The Leonardtown Raiders edged the host Northern Patriots softball squad by a count of 7-6 in Wednesday's league challenge.

Next, the Raiders meet the Lackey Chargers (Indian Head, MD) in a Southern Maryland challenge, on Friday, March 28. Leonardtown will attempt to upgrade on its 4-0 season record. The Chargers enter the challenge with a 1-1 record after their 18-4 league win over St. Charles (Waldorf, MD).

The Patriots (0-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Thomas Stone (Waldorf, MD). The Cougars enter the Southern Maryland challenge with a 0-1 record. In their last challenge, Thomas Stone was nudged by Chopticon (Morganza, MD), 17-0, in a league challenge.
