In Wednesday's non-league test, the Sandia Prep Sundevils (Albuquerque, NM) softball squad overwhelmed the visiting Shiprock Chieftains (Shiprock, NM), by a tally of 18-3.

Next, the Sundevils meet the Ruidoso Warriors (Ruidoso, NM) in a 3A District 4/5 test, on Tuesday, April 1. Sandia Prep will attempt to advance on its 1-11 season record. The Warriors go into the test with a 10-2 record after their 12-0 non-league loss to West Las Vegas (Las Vegas, NM).

The Chieftains (4-6) will now prepare for their test against Hozho Academy (Gallup, NM). The Wolves go into the non-league test with a 6-0 record. In their last test, Hozho Academy toppled Non Varsity Opponent (, ), 17-13, in a non-league test.
