In Thursday's league match, the host Mineral Ridge Rams softball team scored a tight 7-5 victory over the McDonald Blue Devils.

The Rams (2-1) will now prepare for their match against Lowellville (Lowellville, OH). The Rockets go into the Mahoning Valley Athletic - Scarlet match with a 2-0 record. In their last match, Lowellville tipped McKinley (Sebring, OH), 12-4, in a league match.
