Kansas High School Softball - Derby bounces Andover
March 27, 2024: Andover, KS 67002 Derby Panthers (Derby, KS) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Andover Trojans (Andover, KS), 16-9 in a non-league challenge.
The Panthers now own a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Goddard for a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 28. Derby will battle a Lions squad coming off a 5-0 non-league loss to South (Salina, KS). The Lions record now stands at 1-1.
With the loss, Andover falls to 2-2 on the campaign. The Trojans host Maize South (Wichita, KS) to battle the Mavericks in a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 28. The Mavericks enter the challenge with a record of 2-1. Maize South won 18-8 in their recent non-league challenge against Kapaun Mt. Carmel (Wichita, KS)
