The Brighton Cardinals triumphed over the host Covington Chargers softball squad by a count of 17-7 in Thursday's league challenge.

Next, the Cardinals play the Munford Cougars (Munford, TN) in a 3A District 15 challenge, on Tuesday, April 1. Brighton will attempt to upgrade on its 9-6 season record. The Cougars enter the challenge with a 7-5 record after their 10-0 non-league loss to Northpoint Christian (Southaven, MS).

The Chargers (4-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Dyersburg (Dyersburg, TN). The Trojans enter the non-league challenge with a 4-1 record.
