In Thursday's league match, the host Point Pleasant Big Blacks softball team scored a tight 3-1 victory over the Chapmanville Regional Tigers.

The Big Blacks (3-3) will now prepare for their match against Robert C. Byrd (Clarksburg, WV). The Eagles go into the non-league match with a 0-5 record. In their last match, Robert C. Byrd by Bridgeport (Bridgeport, WV), 29-19, in a league match.
