In Thursday's league test, the Panther Valley Panthers (Lansford, PA) softball squad overwhelmed the host Mahanoy Area Golden Bears (Mahanoy City, PA), by a tally of 20-8.

Next, the Panthers clash with the North Schuylkill Spartans (Ashland, PA) in a non-league test, on Tuesday, April 1. Panther Valley will attempt to advance on its 2-1 season record. The Spartans go into the test with a 2-1 record after their 11-3 league loss to Blue Mountain (Schuylkill Haven, PA).

The Golden Bears (3-1) will now prepare for their test against Blue Mountain (Schuylkill Haven, PA). The Eagles go into the non-league test with a 4-1 record. In their last test, Blue Mountain prevailed over North Schuylkill (Ashland, PA), 11-3, in a league test.
