In Friday's league game, the host Compton Tarbabes baseball team scored a close 3-2 win over the Jordan Panthers.

The Tarbabes (8-4) will now prepare for their game against Centennial (Compton, CA). The Apaches go into the non-league game with a 6-8 record. In their last game, Centennial was tipped by Hawthorne (Hawthorne, CA), 14-3, in a non-league match.

The Panthers now have a 7-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lakewood for a Moore match on Tuesday, March 31. Jordan will battle a Lancers squad coming off a 3-2 league win over Woodrow Wilson (Long Beach, CA). The Lancers record now stands at 5-10.
