The Marshall Mavericks triumphed over the host Jacksonville Fightin' Indians baseball squad by a score of 14-4 in Friday's league outing.

Next up, the Mavericks play the Lufkin Panthers (Lufkin, TX) in a 5A Region II District 10 test, on Saturday, March 28. Marshall will attempt to improve on its 7-10 season record. The Panthers go into the test with a 11-3 record after their 9-3 league win over Texas (Texarkana, TX).

With the defeat, Jacksonville drops to 0-10 on the year. The Fightin' indians host Lufkin (Lufkin, TX) to play the Panthers in a 5A Region II District 10 test on Tuesday, March 31. The Panthers go into the test with a record of 11-3.
