The crowd at Friday's league battle between the Lowndes Vikings (Valdosta, GA) and the visiting Tift County Blue Devils (Tifton, GA), saw Lowndes's baseball team gain a win over Tift County by a tally of 7-1.

The Vikings (16-5) will now prepare for their battle against Buchholz (Gainesville, FL). The Bobcats enter the non-league battle with a 11-6 record. In their last battle, Buchholz held off Santa Fe (Alachua, FL), 9-1, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Blue Devils face the North Bay Haven Academy Buccaneers (Panama City, FL) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, March 31. Tift County will attempt to move on its 5-14 season record. The Buccaneers come into the contest with a 2-16 record after their 12-2 non-league loss to Port St. Joe (Port St. Joe, FL).
