Troy Trojans (Troy, TX) fans went home satisfied Friday as they witnessed their softball team gain a win over the visiting Clifton Cubs (Clifton, TX), 20-5 in a league battle.

The Trojans now possess a 9-13 record. They put it on the line next when they host Whitney for a 3A Region III District 17 battle on Tuesday, March 31. Troy will confront a Wildcats team coming off a 6-2 non-league loss to Riesel (Riesel, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 2-9.

With the loss, Clifton moves to 3-10 on the season. The Cubs host McGregor (McGregor, TX) to confront the Bulldogs in a 3A Region III District 17 battle on Tuesday, March 31. The Bulldogs come into the battle with a record of 11-8.
