Georgia High School Soccer - Brunswick nudges Effingham County
March 28, 2023: Brunswick, GA 31520 Brunswick Pirates (Brunswick, GA) fans were pleased Tuesday as they observed their soccer team hold off the visiting Effingham County Rebels (Springfield, GA), 1-0 in a league challenge.
Next, the Pirates confront the Evans Knights (Evans, GA) in a 6A Area 2 challenge, on Friday, March 31. Brunswick will attempt to better on its 7-9 season record. The Knights enter the challenge with a 8-7 record after their 2-1 non-league loss to Greenbrier (Evans, GA).
The Rebels now have a 5-9 record. They take the field next when they host Claxton for a non-league challenge on Friday, March 31. Effingham County will confront a Tigers team coming off a 4-1 league win over Metter (Metter, GA). The Tigers record now stands at 6-6.
