Mississippi High School Baseball - Stringer wallops Leake County
March 28, 2025: Walnut Grove, MS 39189 The Stringer Red Devils (Stringer, MS) baseball trounced the host Leake County Gators (Walnut Grove, MS), 20-2 in Friday's league challenge.
The Red Devils now own a 6-13 record. They take the field next when they travel to Clarkdale for a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 29. Stringer will clash with a Bulldogs team coming off a 4-1 league win over Lake (Lake, MS). The Bulldogs record now stands at 6-5.
With the defeat, Leake County drops to 2-4 on the year. The Gators travel to Taylorsville (Taylorsville, MS) to clash with the Tartars in a 1A Region 7 challenge on Tuesday, April 1. The Tartars go into the challenge with a record of 8-9. Taylorsville won 14-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Newton (Newton, MS)
