The Lexington Minutemen baseball team scored 17 runs and held the visiting Prairie Central Hawks to 3 in the Minutemen non-league win on Friday.

The Minutemen now own a 3-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Delavan for a non-league test on Saturday, March 29. Lexington will clash with a Panthers team coming off a 11-1 non-league loss to Farmington (Farmington, IL). The Panthers record now stands at 2-2.

With the defeat, Prairie Central drops to 2-5 on the year. The Hawks host Tri-Valley (Downs, IL) to clash with the Vikings in a non-league test on Saturday, March 29. The Vikings go into the test with a record of 3-0. Tri-Valley won 10-9 in their recent non-league test against Richwoods (Peoria, IL)
