In Friday's non-league game, the visiting Newman Central Catholic Comets baseball team scored a close 11-8 win over the Morrison Mustangs.

The Comets (5-1) will now prepare for their game against Bureau Valley (Manlius, IL). The Storm go into the non-league game with a 5-1 record. In their last game, Bureau Valley nudged Polo (Polo, IL), 9-0, in a non-league game.

Next, the Mustangs play the Warren Warriors (Warren, IL) in a non-league game, on Saturday, March 29. Morrison will attempt to improve on its 2-5 season record.
