Fans at Friday's non-league contest between the Leigh Longhorns (San Jose, CA) and the host Aptos Mariners (Aptos, CA), observed Leigh's volleyball team top Aptos by a count of 2-0.

The Longhorns (11-0) will now prepare for their contest against Monterey (Monterey, CA). The Dores enter the non-league contest with a 6-6 record. In their last contest, Monterey was knocked off by Alisal (Salinas, CA), 3-1, in a non-league contest.
