Long Reach Lightning (Columbia, MD) supporters left the game thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Centennial Eagles (Ellicott City, MD), 7-1 in a league game.

With the triumph, Long Reach improves its record to 1-3 on the year. The Lightning host Mt. Hebron (Ellicott City, MD) to play the Vikings in a Howard County game on Monday, March 31. The Vikings enter the game with a record of 3-0. Mt. Hebron won 11-10 in their recent league game against Reservoir (Fulton, MD)
