The crowd at Friday's non-league bout between the Mount Vernon Tigers (Mount Vernon, TX) and the visiting Sulphur Springs Wildcats (Sulphur Springs, TX), observed Mount Vernon's softball team get by Sulphur Springs by a tally of 13-11.

The Tigers (20-4) will now prepare for their bout against Rains (Emory, TX). The Wildcats go into the bout with a 13-9 record. In their last bout, Rains tipped Winnsboro (Winnsboro, TX), 9-7, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Wildcats battle the Bullard Panthers (Bullard, TX) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, March 29. Sulphur Springs will attempt to advance on its 17-5 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 19-3 record after their 20-1 league win over Center (Center, TX).
