March 29, 2022: Newport, AR 72112 In Tuesday's league outing, the host Newport Greyhounds softball team scored a close 13-12 win over the Clinton Yellowjackets.
Coming up next, the Greyhounds encounter the Cave City Cavemen (Cave City, AR) in a 3A-2 outing, on Friday, April 1. Newport will attempt to improve on its 7-4 season record.
The Yellowjackets (0-2) will now prepare for their outing against Harding Academy (Searcy, AR). The Wildcats enter the 3A-2 outing with a 1-1 record. In their last outing, Harding Academy tipped Bald Knob (Bald Knob, AR), 2-1, in a league outing.
