New Mexico High School Softball - Northwest nudges Navajo Prep
March 3, 2022: Shiprock, NM 87420 Northwest Falcons (Shiprock, NM) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Navajo Prep Eagles (Farmington, NM), 9-8 in a non-league challenge.
The Falcons now own a 3-0 record. They take the field next when they host Non Varsity Opponent for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 8. Northwest will battle a squad coming off a 4-0 non-league loss to Brunswick Academy (Lawrenceville, VA). The record now stands at 5-11.
With the loss, Navajo Prep falls to 0-3 on the campaign. The Eagles host Piedra Vista (Farmington, NM) to battle the Panthers in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 8. The Panthers enter the challenge with a record of 0-1. Piedra Vista lost 6-5 in their recent non-league challenge against Lovington (Lovington, NM)
