Lake Forest Spartans (Felton, DE) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Sussex Tech Ravens (Georgetown, DE), 7-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Spartans now own a 3-0 record. They take the field next when they host Odessa for a non-league challenge on Monday, April 3.

With the loss, Sussex Tech falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Ravens travel to Cape Henlopen (Lewes, DE) to battle the Vikings in a Henlopen - Northern challenge on Tuesday, April 4. The Vikings enter the challenge with a record of 1-1.
