Alabama High School Baseball - Sylacauga holds off Benjamin Russell
March 30, 2024: Sylacauga, AL 35150 Sylacauga Aggies (Sylacauga, AL) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Benjamin Russell Wildcats (Alexander City, AL), 6-2 in a non-league test.
With the win, Sylacauga upgrades its record to 18-4 on the season. The Aggies travel to Shelby County (Columbiana, AL) to battle the Wildcats in a 5A Area 8 test on Tuesday, April 2. The Wildcats come into the test with a record of 15-8.
With the defeat, Benjamin Russell falls to 14-11 on the season. The Wildcats host Park Crossing (Montgomery, AL) to battle the Thunderbirds in a 6A Area 4 test on Tuesday, April 2. The Thunderbirds come into the test with a record of 4-3. Park Crossing lost 18-3 in their recent non-league test against Elmore County (Eclectic, AL)
