ALA - Mesa North Mavericks (Mesa, AZ) fans were pleased Monday as they witnessed their baseball team hold off the host Coolidge Bears (Coolidge, AZ), 5-4 in a non-league test.

The Mavericks now hold a 5-7 record. They take the field next when they host Globe for a non-league test on Monday, April 6.

With the defeat, Coolidge drops to 6-6 on the year. The Bears host Seton Catholic (Chandler, AZ) to play the Sentinels in a 3A Central test on Thursday, April 2. The Sentinels go into the test with a record of 14-4. Seton Catholic lost 4-1 in their recent non-league outing against Northwest Christian (Phoenix, AZ)
