The Vardaman Rams softball squad (Vardaman, MS), was routed 15-3 in Monday's non-league contest with the host Myrtle Hawks (Myrtle, MS)

With the triumph, Myrtle improves its record to 14-6 on the year. The Hawks travel to East Union (Blue Springs, MS) to face the Urchins in a 2A Region 2 bout on Tuesday, March 31. The Urchins go into the bout with a record of 16-3. East Union won 13-5 in their recent non-league bout against Ripley (Ripley, MS)

Next up, the Rams face the Houlka Wildcats (Houlka, MS) in a 1A Region 4 contest, on Tuesday, March 31. Vardaman will attempt to improve on its 6-8 season record. The Wildcats enter the contest with a 2-8 record after their 24-5 non-league loss to Shannon (Shannon, MS).
