Palma Chieftains (Salinas, CA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the host San Benito Haybalers (Hollister, CA), 3-2 in a league test.

With the win, Palma upgrades its record to 12-2 on the season. The Chieftains host Pacific Grove (Pacific Grove, CA) to battle the Breakers in a PCAL - Gabilan test on Tuesday, April 5. The Breakers come into the test with a record of 3-9. Pacific Grove lost 5-3 in their recent non-league test against Santa Cruz (Santa Cruz, CA)

With the defeat, San Benito falls to 7-5 on the season. The Haybalers travel to Christopher (Gilroy, CA) to battle the Cougars in a PCAL - Gabilan test on Tuesday, April 5.
