Anderson-Shiro Fighting Owls (Anderson, TX) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host New Waverly Bulldogs (New Waverly, TX), 7-2 in a league test.

With the win, Anderson-Shiro upgrades its record to 9-8 on the season. The Fighting Owls travel to La Grange (La Grange, TX) to battle the Leopards in a non-league test on Saturday, April 1. The Leopards come into the test with a record of 2-6. La Grange won 11-1 in their recent league test against Giddings (Giddings, TX)

With the defeat, New Waverly falls to 14-3 on the season. The Bulldogs host Crockett (Crockett, TX) to battle the Bulldogs in a 3A Region III District 23 test on Tuesday, April 4.
