Placer Hillmen (Auburn, CA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the visiting Ponderosa Bruins (Shingle Springs, CA), 4-3 in a league test.

With the win, Placer upgrades its record to 4-3 on the season. The Hillmen travel to Hoover (Fresno, CA) to battle the Patriots in a non-league test on Monday, April 3. The Patriots come into the test with a record of 4-6. Hoover lost 10-0 in their recent league test against Fresno (Fresno, CA)

With the defeat, Ponderosa falls to 4-4 on the season. The Bruins travel to Christian Brothers (Sacramento, CA) to battle the Falcons in a non-league test on Saturday, April 1.
