North Carolina High School Soccer - Smoky Mountain nudges Franklin
March 31, 2025: Sylva, NC 28779 The Smoky Mountain Mustangs (Sylva, NC) soccer nipped the visiting Franklin Panthers (Franklin, NC), 1-0 in Monday's league challenge.
The Mustangs now hold a 10-3 record. They play next when they travel to Tuscola for a Mountain Seven 3A challenge on Monday, April 7. Smoky Mountain will encounter a Mountaineers squad coming off a 6-2 league win over Pisgah (Canton, NC). The Mountaineers record now stands at 7-4.
With the loss, Franklin moves to 2-5 on the year. The Panthers host West Henderson (Hendersonville, NC) to encounter the Falcons in a Mountain Seven 3A challenge on Monday, April 7. The Falcons go into the challenge with a record of 6-1.
