The Mercer County Golden Eagles edged the visiting Farmington Farmers softball squad by a count of 6-5 in Monday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Golden Eagles meet the Hamilton/Warsaw Titans (Hamilton, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, April 1. Mercer County will attempt to upgrade on its 6-0 season record. The Titans enter the challenge with a 2-0 record after their 7-1 non-league win over Astoria/VIT (Astoria, IL).

The Farmers (1-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Stark County (Toulon, IL). The Rebels enter the non-league challenge with a 1-2 record. In their last challenge, Stark County was nudged by Biggsville West Central (Biggsville, IL), 15-0, in a league challenge.
