In Monday's non-league match, the visiting Mercer Island Islanders softball team scored a tight 28-21 victory over the Foster Bulldogs.

The Islanders (5-6) will now prepare for their match against Highline (Burien, WA). The Pirates go into the non-league match with a 5-6 record.

In their next game, the Bulldogs battle the Lindbergh Eagles (Renton, WA) in a 2A KingCo match, on Wednesday, April 2. Foster will attempt to better on its 1-6 season record.
